Last night, I spent time with some very close friends who could not understand why I was running for Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas. After about twenty minutes they understood, and the next 45 minutes was all about solidifying why the position is critical for the future of the entire United States of America. At this critical point, there has to be a voice, a voice of resolute, determined, focused constitutional conservatism that will be relentless in turning back the tide of progressive socialism attempting to establish itself in the Lone Star State.
Just today, there was another Texas GOP Congressman who has decided to retire, Rep. Mac Thornberry, ranking member of the House Armed Services Committee . . . that makes six. No, I am not fretting, but we have an opportunity to raise, recruit, and equip a new generation of conservatives to step into the gap.
However, this is causing the Democrat (socialist) Party to believe Texas is theirs for the taking. That is why I am here, right now, in the Houston area, since they left just had their presidential debate here in Houston, where every single Republican elected official was defeated in 2018.
As reported by The Hill:
“Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) told a crowd Saturday that Texas is a top target for Democrats come 2020. Pelosi said at Tribune Fest hosted by the Texas Tribune that she agreed with Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chairwoman Rep. Cheri Bustos’ (D-Ill.) characterization of the state as “ground zero” for the party.
“This is it,” Pelosi said. “Texas is our hope for the future. And I’m not just talking about Democrats. I am talking about the country and the world. When Texas goes blue, that’s going to be very wholesome for our nation. It is a beautifully diverse state in every way.”
Her remarks follow those from Manny Garcia, executive director of the Texas Democratic Party, who told Hill.TV earlier this month that his state would be the top swing state in the nation in 2020.
“Texas is the biggest battleground state in the country,” he said. “We are dramatically changing, we’re changing quite rapidly.”
“When you ask Texans if they would vote for Donald Trump or someone else, someone else currently wins,” Garcia added.
Four Texas Republicans have announced their retirements in recent weeks, and some districts including Rep. Will Hurd’s (D-Texas) have been moved from “toss-up” to “lean Democratic” in recent weeks by the Cook Political Report.”"So, Nancy Pelosi — Ms. Impeachment — comes into Texas & throws down the challenge & where was our response? So, Nancy Pelosi — Ms. Impeachment — comes into Texas and throws down the challenge, and where was our response? Well, here is mine: I want to be on the frontlines of this ideological battle, and that is exactly why I am running to be the Texas GOP Chairman. This is a fight, and this is what a Warrior, an American Spartan, seeks, a challenge to continue to serve and honor the oath that I took. We cannot allow the left to run about the State of Texas with impunity and make their absurd assertions.
I want y’all to never forget the words Pelosi spoke:
“Texas is our hope for the future. And I’m not just talking about Democrats. I am talking about the country and the world. When Texas goes blue, that’s going to be very wholesome for our nation.”
What Pelosi is talking about is control, power, 38 electoral votes, soon to be 40-41. She is talking about ideological domination, and there is no way we will allow them to use Texas as the path to their tyranny.
We have a choice, victors, or victims. In Texas, we are victors! It is time we wholeheartedly defeat the scourge, the cancer, of progressive socialism here in Texas.
Join me in this fight! Tell Nancy, “Come and Take It!”
