Three judges in Harris County have placed their politics above the rule of law and the safety of their fellow Texans. Judges Morton, Jones, and Cornelio should be brought up on impeachment charges by Speaker Phelan and Governor Abbott. Their release of violent criminals back onto the streets of Houston and streets across Texas is a dereliction of their duty. By releasing dangerous felons back into our community, these three judges are responsible for dozens of needless deaths.
Regarding the behavior of these three judges, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Allen West stated:
“The dark specter of lawlessness is overtaking the Lone Star State. We have a border that is wide open, where narco-criminal terrorists are threatening the lives and livelihoods of Texans. We have a major drug, human, and rape slavery problem in the state of Texas, and we are witnessing an astronomical rise in violent crimes against law-abiding citizens.
The realization that we have state district judges who are releasing known violent criminals on the streets of Texas is unconscionable, these judges are no longer upholding the rule of law but are only advancing a dangerous progressive socialist agenda. These judges must be held accountable and removed from their positions.
As Governor of Texas, I will not allow any judicial official to undermine the rule of law and endanger the lives of Texans. It has come to my attention that there are at least three state district judges who are guilty of releasing violent criminals back into our communities. These three judges should be brought up on impeachment proceedings according to Article 15 of the Texas State Constitution. On behalf of the citizens of Texas, I demand that Governor Abbott, along with Speaker Phelan and the Texas state legislature lawfully convene an impeachment trial for Chris Morton, DaSean Jones, and Natalia Cornelio and if they don’t I assure you a Governor West will.”
Texans deserve to live under the rule of law and allowing these Harris County Judges to stay on the bench undermines the very fabric of our justice system. Once Governor, West will not allow activist judges and petty local bureaucrats to rule as tin-pot dictators. Order will be maintained.
